Wuling Hongguang’s "Terminator" van has a cruising range of 500KM!

In addition to the foreigners, it also has another classic and legendary model, the Microbus. This model was once a hit and was considered one of the most important models in the industry. It was launched in many different versions in many markets around the world. It also often appeared as an important prop in classic movies or fashion magazines, and was loved by people all over the world.

And this historical classic Microbus model is finally going to be written again today! Just last year at the CES exhibition, the new electric version of Microbus was released, and its new name is Buddha-e, which attracted a lot of attention.

The new Buddha-e restores the classic round shape of Microbus, which is a bit retro and adds more sci-fi and cute. The front face adopts a three-banner grille design, and the headlight group is connected to the grille, which is fashionable; the tail shape is relatively simple, and the C-shaped tail light is adopted, which is novel and unique.

In terms of exterior design, the BUDD-e is very similar to the classic T1 BUS. Straight lines are used on the side, 21-inch two-color wheels look very unique, and solar panels are added to the roof.

The size is 4597 * 1938 * 1834mm, which is 3152mm. It is worth mentioning that its rear wheels can be steered, so the vehicle’s speed can be reduced to 11.5 meters, allowing for more flexible driving in urban areas.

The interior is designed in a minimalist style, and all functions of the entire center console except the steering wheel need to be realized through the LCD screen. The screen on the driver’s side is 7.9 inches, while the screen on the passenger side is 5.9 inches.

Instead of traditional seats in the rear, it is more like a set of semi-enclosed sofas embedded in the inner wall.

For me, the real bright spot is actually the future technology and car construction it expresses. The car uses a number of new technologies such as gesture control and e-Mirror, which can be turned on with a wave of a hand by touching or gesturing. Through the intelligent human-computer interaction system, it can recognize speech and adjust accordingly.

Not only that, it is said that BUDD-e also has a novel function that can help you receive the courier? It turns out that its back is actually a storage space like a drawer, and the small grid on the left also has a refrigeration function. When there is no one at home, the courier can open this storage compartment through the pairing of the bracelet with the vehicle, put the courier in and lock it for you.

These cutting-edge technologies are possible in the future and are built on the latest MEB platform, which will support future pure electric and plug-in hybrid models. The Buddha-e can travel 600 kilometers on a single charge, can reach a top speed of 150 kilometers per hour, and can be fully charged to 80% in half an hour.

Importantly, the company has decided to put this electric into mass production, which is expected to be available in 2019. Of course, the Budd-e production car will be tweaked in some details. The interior will feature a three-row seven-seat design, with high definition instrument and infotainment system displays, head-up display technology and new autonomous driving functions.

It is reported that the production car will use the rear drive system design, driven by a 163 rear motor, and the maximum range is expected to reach 500km. In addition, the four-wheel drive system version is also available, but users need to pay an additional fee for this upgrade.
