The May Day holiday is coming soon. When planning travel (especially outbound travel), remember to guard against a disease spread by mosquito bites — — Dengue fever
Since May,Dengue fever enters epidemic season
May to November is the epidemic season of dengue fever every year, and the epidemic peak is July to September.
Specifically, dengue fever is an acute insect-borne infectious disease caused by dengue virus, which is mainly spread by the bite of Aedes mosquitoes. The epidemic areas are mainly distributed in tropical and subtropical regions, among which Southeast Asia, the Western Pacific and America are the most serious.
Dengue fever is mainly prevalent in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Fujian, Zhejiang and other regions in China, with typical import and suddenness. The disease spreads rapidly, the incidence rate is high, and people are generally susceptible.
I would like to remind everyone that if you have fever symptoms within 2 weeks after returning to China, please go to a regular hospital immediately and inform your travel history to avoid delaying your illness and causing serious illness.
Dengue fever is mainly spread by "flower mosquitoes"
Dengue fever is mainly caused by "patient → Aedes aegypti → Others "way to spread. Generally, there is no direct transmission of diseases between people.
At present, the dengue virus is mainly transmitted by Aedes albopictus and Aedes aegypti (commonly known as "flower mosquito"). After dengue fever patients or recessive infected people are bitten by Aedes mosquitoes, the virus usually needs to proliferate in Aedes mosquitoes for 8 ~ 10 days before it can be transmitted to people through bites.
Chinese people are generally susceptible to dengue virus, and the incubation period after infection is generally 1 ~ 14 days (mostly 5 ~ 9 days), but some people do not get sick (that is, recessive infection). Aedes mosquitoes, which can spread dengue virus, are widely distributed in China, and the virus may be spread rapidly after being imported.
There are four typical symptoms of dengue fever.
The typical symptoms of dengue fever can be summarized as: sudden high fever+three red signs+three pains+rash.
one
Sudden high fever
The body temperature can rise to 39 or 40 degrees Celsius within 24 to 36 hours.
2
Three red sign
That is, flushing on the face, neck and chest.
three
Three pains
Severe headache, joint pain all over the body, muscle aches.
four
rash
Congestive rash or punctate bleeding rash appears on the trunk or head and face of limbs.
Avoiding mosquito bites is the key to prevention.
In life, what should we do to stay away from dengue fever? Avoiding mosquito bites is the key!
When you go to outdoor activities in dengue endemic areas, try to choose light-colored long-sleeved trousers and use mosquito repellent or other mosquito repellent drugs as much as possible.
In addition, to prevent dengue fever, we should do the following mosquito prevention and control work.
1. Clean up the accumulated water at home. For example, aquatic plants should change the washing bottle regularly (at least once a week), so as not to leave water on the flowerpot chassis.
2. Keep it ventilated and dry.
3. Install screen doors and screens.
4. Use mosquito nets.
5. Use mosquito killing products.
It should be noted that there is no specific drug for dengue fever at present, and the focus of treatment is to control pain, timely rehydration, prevent bleeding, and prevent mosquito isolation as soon as possible.
If you are accidentally infected with dengue virus, don’t be too alarmed. Dengue fever patients generally have a good prognosis, and can basically recover after timely treatment, but there are also reports of a few serious cases of death, so please take scientific precautions.
