All mining platforms will cover 2*2 map range, and mining resources by engineering ships within the coverage range will improve mining efficiency; The primary mining platform only has the most basic function of improving mining efficiency and is only used as a transition, so it is suggested to build only one primary mining platform.

All mining platforms will cover a 2*2 map area, and mining resources by engineering ships within the coverage area will improve mining efficiency. Therefore, the location of mining platform should be selected as far as possible to cover a large number of advanced resource zones.

1. Primary mining platform

The primary mining platform only has the most basic function of improving mining efficiency and is only used as a transition, so it is suggested to build only one primary mining platform.
When the intermediate mining platform is unlocked, the primary mining platform can be eliminated.
2. Intermediate mining platform

Because advanced mining platforms need to consume huge resources, we may spend a long time using intermediate mining platforms.
The resource belt in the intermediate mining platform can be mined by two teams and two engineering ships, which will greatly improve our mining efficiency. The resource belt within the platform will reduce the difficulty of level 1 mining, that is to say, intermediate engineering ships are allowed to mine level 5 resource belt within the platform.
If there are too many ships within the platform, there may be a situation that the engineering ship blocks the ship. When we send ships to mining, we should not send all the ships at once, but send one every few minutes, and pay attention to controlling the overall number of engineering ships. In this way, there will also be a time difference when the engineering ship returns, which will greatly prevent the ship from being blocked.

During the period from the base to the edge of the mining platform, the engineering ship will keep a relatively fast curvature movement. When the engineering ship enters the platform range, it will drop to the normal cruising speed.
As shown in the following figure, Areas A, B, C and D are 2*2 areas covered by the mining platform, and the red arrow indicates the location of the base. When the engineering ship goes to the platform, it will start from the base to the edge of area B at a curvature speed, and then from point B to areas A, C and D at a cruising speed. In this way, the engineering ship consumes more time on the journey within the platform, which further affects the efficiency of engineering ship mining.

In order to avoid the above situation, there are the following two schemes:
(1) only go to area B.
If going to other areas will affect the mining efficiency, don’t let the engineering ship go. Engineering ships exploit the resource belts in the area B of the platform, and abandon the resource belts in areas A, C and D, so as to ensure a more efficient acquisition speed.
This scheme is suitable for pioneers who love fighting. The disadvantage of the scheme is that the resource belt is wasted and the mining efficiency improved by the mining platform is not fully utilized.
② Establish a planning circle within the platform coverage.
Before the mining platform is built, the planning circle shall be established in areas A, B, C and D, and the engineering ship shall be sent to mine. When the engineering ship leaves the resource beacon, we will build the platform here. In this way, the engineering ship can use the curvature speed to go to areas A, B, C and D, and enjoy the benefits brought by the platform.
This scheme is suitable for pioneers who love "farming" The disadvantage of the scheme is that it takes up more planning circles, and it is difficult to make up for it if the plans in the platform are recycled.
The two schemes need to be chosen by the pioneers according to their own conditions.
3. Advanced mining platform

The biggest change of advanced mining platform is that the resources mined by engineering ships within the platform are no longer transported back to the base, but directly sent to the platform. This change will greatly improve our speed of obtaining resources, and we don’t have to consider the platform construction skills mentioned above.
More importantly, our base no longer has to be trapped in the resource belt because of considering the engineering ship. The base can be moved to the front line of the alliance war to facilitate timely support for the battlefield. The base can also be connected to small buildings to achieve docking effect, without too much consideration of the problem of no resource belt around small buildings.
Advanced mining platform will reduce the difficulty of mining the resource belt within the scope of Grade 2, so all the resource belts below Grade 4 will not be harassed by private raiders, and the engineering ship will have a safe mining environment.
It should be noted that advanced mining platforms should not be built on the front lines of allied wars or in places where there are many private raiders. It is best to build the platform in a safe area behind the alliance’s occupied area to prevent hostile players or privateers from destroying the engineering ship.
