Special feature of 1905 film network The film is the director’s second feature film. It won two awards, namely "Best Director Honored in Fei Mu" and "Best Director Honored by Young People" at the 5th Pingyao International Film Festival, and was also nominated for the biweekly director unit of the 74th Cannes Film Festival and the rookie film competition of the 46th Hong Kong International Film Festival.

The film tells the story that the crew of the film "Yong ‘an Town Tales" stayed in the shooting location, which brought a little wave to this originally quiet town. However, after the wave, everything returned to peace. The whole film is divided into three chapters — — Waiting alone, looking beautiful, The Moment of Pluto.

01. Three seemingly ordinary stories

In terms of content, The Tales of Yong ‘an Town stirred up ripples in a quiet town with three seemingly ordinary stories. Although there are no great waves in these stories, the inner drama conflict of each character makes the whole film full of profound meaning.

The first chapter, Waiting Alone.

The proprietress (decoration) of a restaurant in Yong ‘an Town suddenly came to the film crew in the town, and her heart began to stir, eager to break the original boring life day after day. Being chosen as a fitting model by the crew made her feel that she could be the heroine, but with the arrival of the real heroine of the film, the bubble of longing was punctured and she returned to her original life.

The second chapter, "It looks beautiful"

The actress chenchen (act the role of actress) was hindered in her career progress, so she took the opportunity of filming a new film to return home. She originally wanted to go back to her hometown to find the lost past and relive the old warm time, but she found that the warm hospitality of her childhood friends or the reunion of her first love after a long separation when she was young actually had other purposes, and going back to the past was just her wishful thinking.

The actress who can’t go back to her hometown and the proprietress who can’t leave the town, two women who seem to have completely different status, also have the same predicament and sorrow.

The third chapter, The Moment of Pluto.

The filming is about to start, but the director (decoration) and the screenwriter (decoration) are still arguing over the revision of the script and the shaping of the actors. Based on artistic ideas, commercial considerations and other factors, they are constrained by each other and finally fail to get an ideal script when they start.

The collision of their creative views not only reflects the dilemma of the current creators, but also includes the conflict of the previous two stories, which are progressive and interlocking.

The three parts will connect the behind-the-scenes of the film preparation, and also turn Yong ‘an Town into a microcosm of the real society, where everyone wants to have a little "different life". 02. A movie about movies

In terms of creative techniques, Yong ‘an Town Tales takes "metafilm" as the creative concept and co-ordinates a three-stage narrative structure.

The concept of "meta-film" is simply to explain "movies about movies", that is, to directly quote, draw lessons from or refer to movies related to other movie texts or movies themselves. Many well-known films are of the narrative structure of "metafilm", such as director, director and director, etc.

　 　 Song Hye Kyo: I discussed this role with the director before shooting. Director Li Zairong is a very careful director. Before shooting, we had a lot of time to discuss it together. No matter the role or the film, I have made good preparations, so there is not much difficulty in the role of mother. In fact, I personally care more about the difficulty of acting, which is the most difficult for me, such as emotional drama. Fortunately, this drama is more relaxed than I expected. 　 　 1905 Movie Network: 17-year-old Milo chooses the latter between her dream and her children. What would you choose?

　 　 Song Hye Kyo: Actually, I have been asked this question many times, and I have thought about it many times. While filming, I also wondered what I would do if I really faced the same situation as Milo. I think Milo and Daxiu are a great couple and can be responsible for their children. If such a thing really happens to me, I don’t know if I can treat it as well as Milo. This is a very difficult situation. Now I’m not sure if I can break through the predicament like Milo.

　 　 Song Hye Kyo: I think I should be the kind of mother who is like friends with her children. I will be strict if necessary, but I think my children should be more obedient.

Although the theme style of this film is not quite the same as my previous one, I can discuss the problems of getting old or dying through the story of this family, which is what I am worried about now.

Only when it is difficult to face sadness with a smile can I feel that life really exists. It is more suitable for me to present my life through the stories of my warm family. If such a sad story is expressed in a sad way, the audience may look tired and feel dark inside, and it seems easier to express the audience in a happy way.

　 　 1905 Movie Network: How many box office do you expect this movie to have in China?

　 　 Li Zairong: Personally, it’s the first time for me to have my own film shown in China. On my way here, I heard that this time "My Life" was shown in China with a scale of 5,000 screen blocks. I also hope that my film will be successful in China.

　 　 1905 Movie Network: What do you think of China movie market? Like Song Hye Kyo, there have been many collaborations with director China in recent years. Do you have any plans in this regard?

　 　 Li Zairong: China’s films have developed very fast, and the market is also very large. Many films have been produced and shown, and some Korean directors with high quality projects are also very interested. I also have a lot of exchanges in this respect. The scale of China is unimaginable in South Korea, and the film market in China itself is a very large market, which I think is a very good opportunity.
