According to Reuters and other reports, on Sunday, local time, Jason Miller, a senior adviser to Trump, announced that a new social media platform, GETTR, was officially launched that day, but the platform was briefly attacked by hackers that day. At present, more than 500,000 users have registered on GETTR.

Well-known users who have been hacked are mainly Trump’s former assistants and supporters.
The US "Business Insider" website said that the hackers were basically well-known and real-name verified users of the platform, mainly Trump’s former assistants and supporters. The user names of these hacked accounts were all changed to the same information: "@ jubabahdad is here:) Free Palestine." These include accounts of Miller, Pompeo, Bannon, US Congressman Taylor Green and Trump-friendly broadcaster Newsmax, and the official support page of the GETTR platform has also been targeted.
According to reports, accounts were hacked for the first time around 8:30 am EST, and most user names were restored to their previous state before 10:00 am EST.

The official support page of the GETTR platform was also attacked.
Miller said in a statement: "The problem was discovered and solved in a few minutes. All the intruders can do is change some user names, and the situation has been corrected. More than half a million users have registered to join our exciting new platform! "
"Business Insider" contacted Twitter user @ jubabbaghdad who claimed responsibility for the hacking incident through Twitter private message. When asked why he decided to target GETTR, he said it was "just for fun" and it was "easy" from a technical point of view. He also said: "They should not publish the website until they ensure that everything, or at least almost everything, is safe." But this person did not disclose how he successfully hacked into these accounts.
It is reported that GETTR is a social media platform similar to Twitter, which can post posts and hot topics. It claims to be "an unbiased social network for people all over the world" on Google and Apple App Store. On Sunday, Bannon, a former Trump consultant, described GETTR as a "Twitter killer" in a post.

GETTR platform is similar to Twitter style.
It is worth mentioning that Miller said earlier this week that he wants Trump to register an account at GETTR, but Trump is considering various options. It is unclear whether Trump will participate in the project or set up and use an account on GETTR. Miller also pointed out that Trump did not provide funds for the platform.
The US "political" news network previously reported that after the riots in Capitol Hill in January, Trump was permanently banned by Twitter and temporarily banned by Facebook. Since then, he has been looking for other ways to interact with his online supporters. His previous practice of participating in online discussions by posting blogs was quickly abandoned because of ridicule and poor readers.
