Experts, professors and entrepreneurs from the domestic energy storage industry will discuss the whole industrial chain of advanced energy storage materials and applications from the perspective of industry and oriented by application demand, so as to empower the high-quality development of energy storage materials and application of new energy automobile industry in Hunan Province.
At the opening ceremony, eight major projects were successfully signed, with a total investment of 33.95 billion yuan, including Luoliu Precision Non-standard Automatic Smart Battery Production Line Headquarters Project, Wuchuang Recycle Lithium Battery Recovery Project, Carbon-based Large Structure Crucible Project for Anode and Cathode Materials of Lithium Batteries with an annual output of 50,000 tons, Desai Energy Storage Battery and Battery Packaging Project, Titanium-manganese Composite Lithium Ion Sieve Adsorbent Project, Anode Material Project for Sodium Ion Batteries with an annual output of 1,000 tons, Graphene New Material Industry Project, Hybrid Energy Storage System and supporting projects.
With the theme of "new energy, new opportunities and new heights", this three-day Expo is co-sponsored by Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce and Changsha Municipal People’s Government. The conference adopted the form of "exhibition+meeting", including the opening ceremony and theme report conference and more than 10 professional forums, and set up theme activities such as battery industry Expo and new energy vehicle display.
At the exhibition site, there are 5 exhibition areas, more than 1,000 enterprises participated in the exhibition, and a "cloud observation" platform was built simultaneously. Advanced energy storage materials industry is a strategic and basic industry to develop new energy vehicles and energy Internet. The Hunan Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government have listed advanced energy storage materials and power battery industry as one of the 22 advantageous industrial chains for key cultivation, and initially built a relatively complete industrial chain from raw material production, battery manufacturing, system integration, popularization and application to resource recycling, forming a "one core and many points" industry with Changsha as the center and Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, Yongzhou, Changde and Yiyang as multi-points layout.
Zhang Zhiping, deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, said that at present, there are more than 100 enterprises above designated size in Hunan’s energy storage materials industry, forming a dominant industrial chain with influence in the whole country, such as positive electrode materials, negative electrode materials, separators, batteries, energy storage systems, and recycling of waste power batteries. It has cultivated 5 billion enterprises and attracted a number of major projects such as the Bangsheng Group’s 300,000-ton Ferrous lithium phosphate project. It is estimated that the scale of the province’s advanced energy storage materials and power battery industry cluster will exceed 130 billion yuan this year, up by about 50%
During the conference, academicians Chen Qingquan, Tan Jianrong, Pan Fusheng of China Academy of Engineering and Lu Jiazheng of China Institute of Electric Power delivered keynote speeches, and leading enterprises in the industry gave speeches and exchanges.
