[Original test drive] In recent years, the cars that started their business have focused on cars and cars, and many products have been launched one after another, but they have not forgotten their roots. After they already have them, they have launched a brand-new MPV model for home use. This car will be launched on March 18th, and after a close contact with it, I think it will become a new choice for consumers.
In the previous auto show experience article and the real shooting article a few days ago, my colleagues have made a detailed interpretation of M3, so I won’t go into details. Let’s get straight to the point and start with the driving experience. At the end of the article, I will also talk about some views on Ruifeng M3.
● power system
Ruifeng M3 has two models: 1.6L and 2.0L The 1.6L luxury intelligent model we test-drive belongs to the middle-class model of the whole system. This 1.6L engine has a maximum of 120 HP (88 kW)/6000 rpm; Maximum 150 Nm /3500-4500rpm. There is only one option for the transmission system: 5th gear.
● Driving experience
Before the test drive, the seat should be adjusted to a proper position. Although the fabric seat of Ruifeng M3 is not wrapped, it is soft and comfortable. Unfortunately, the seats of all models do not support up-and-down adjustment, and the steering wheel does not support forward and backward adjustment, so it is not easy for some friends to adjust to a suitable driving posture. I am 174cm tall, sitting in the driver’s seat is fine, and I don’t feel awkward.
More than half a year ago, I tested it. At that time, this car left a deep impression on me, with excellent power system matching and easy driving experience, while Ruifeng M3 continued this performance and it was easy to get started. The stroke of the clutch pedal is too long, and the joint point is close to half of the stroke, which is very clear. When the foot is lifted to that position, there is obvious feeling. The combination stroke is very long, and the vehicle can start smoothly even without oil supply, which reduces the operation difficulty and is not easy to stall.
The setting of the accelerator pedal is sensitive. With a little effort, the tachometer will climb straight, and the initial stage is very light. The power performance within 3000rpm is completely sufficient, so you don’t have to worry about power in daily driving. The engine data can nominally output the maximum torque of 150 Nm at 3500-4500rpm, but the actual feeling is not obvious. This engine feels a little weak in the middle and high speed range, and its sound is slightly noisy. Fortunately, few people usually pull the engine to such a high speed when driving, and the power performance within 3000rpm can meet the daily use, so the problem is not big.
The gearbox feels good, and there is some inhalation when it is engaged. The gear position is relatively clear, and there is nothing wrong with it except that the third gear is a little astringent. The gear ratio of this gearbox is relatively dense, and the speed will drop by about 500rpm every time the gear is shifted up, so the power connection is smooth. However, it is precisely for this reason that the speed of 80km/h has reached 2500rpm when cruising in the fifth gear. There is no way. If a small displacement engine wants to ensure power output, it is bound to pay the price of high fuel consumption.
The steering wheel is too big and the material is a bit slippery. Before querying the configuration table, I once thought that Ruifeng M3 used electronics, because the steering wheel was very light, and it was effortless to turn around and stop with one hand. However, when driving at high speed, the intensity is still light and lacks some calmness. As for directivity, there is no luxury, and the middle position is very spacious. After all, the demands are different.
Ruifeng M3 uses the front torsion bar and the rear torsion bar, and the purpose is clear. Since there are people, it can also pull goods. We only drive on paved roads with good road conditions this time, so the overall feeling is not bad, and we have a good filter for road bumps. When passing through the speed bump, the rear of the car will bounce a little, and the solution is simple. Two people sitting in the third row can press the rear of the car down.
