The 2023 Shanghai International Auto Show was held today (18th) to April 27th, which is the first A-class auto show in the world this year.
This year’s auto show has built a platform for vehicle and industrial chain enterprises to display new products and technologies, which will further boost market confidence and promote automobile consumption.

Wang Shiyu: This year’s auto show opened 13 indoor exhibition halls in the four-leaf clover. Not only will nine venues be used to showcase the latest passenger cars from around the world, but three venues will focus on the most advanced automotive technology and supply chain products. In addition, there is an exhibition hall as a media area to provide related service guarantee.
The theme of this year’s auto show is "Embracing the new era of the automobile industry", and it will focus on the transformation trend of new energy. Industry leaders such as BMW and BYD choose to participate in the all-electric lineup.

Zhou Minhao: Not only have we filled all the 360,000 square meters exhibition halls of the National Convention and Exhibition Center, but there are probably more than 1,000 automobile manufacturers coming. There are more than 1,500 vehicles to be exhibited, and new energy vehicles account for about two-thirds. There are more than 150 new cars, so this effort is unprecedented.

Shi Wentao: We very much hope to participate and bring our latest technology and products to the China market. We will further tailor our services and products for China to meet the needs of as many consumers and markets as possible.
At the same time, about 150 press conferences are planned to be held during this auto show, and CEOs from global head enterprises will concentrate on attending the conference to exchange the latest ideas on the future development of the automobile industry, such as green, low carbon and smart travel.

Hildegarde Mueller: This is a large-scale auto show. We can see the rapid development of China’s auto industry in the past few years, from research and development to electric vehicles, digitalization and so on. I think the China market is one of the most important markets in the world at present, and it is also more open now. One third of our German cars are sold in China. Therefore, we hope to establish a better cooperative relationship between the two countries, so as to increase investment for China companies in Germany and German companies in China.
The reporter learned from Shanghai Customs that a total of 123 batches of imported exhibits were declared at this auto show, amounting to 25 million US dollars, an increase of 34% and 19% respectively compared with the 19th Shanghai Auto Show in 2021.
