In late May, 2000, at No.1 Nanxiaoshuan Hutong, Xicheng District, Beijing, in an ordinary quadrangle, honeysuckle with a fence was full of fragrance, and a pomegranate tree in the corner was in full bloom. And the owner of the yard-Zhao Puchu can no longer enjoy these beautiful scenery. In the quadrangle, sorrow and joy are low, and the atmosphere is solemn and dignified. Among the bustling mourners in JaeHee, an old man in his late eighties wrote "zhangwenda, Hong Kong" in the guest book. Full of tears, he knelt before Zhao Puchu’s tomb. Who is zhangwenda and what is his relationship with Zhao Puchu?

Expensive: The hardest part is the old friend.

Zhangwenda, originally named Zhang Xiaoquan, was born in Changsha, Hunan Province in 1921. He graduated from the Central Political School and entered the press in 1945. After 1950, it was transferred to the Relief General Association and other units. In 1980, he settled in Hong Kong. Under the pen names of zhangwenda and Lin Xun, he wrote articles for major newspapers, served as an adviser to the president of New Newspaper and editor-in-chief of Haitian Supplement, and was quite influential in the press in Hong Kong and Macao.

Zhao Puchu and Zhang Xiaoquan met in 1945. At that time, Zhao Puchu was already a famous Buddhist and philanthropist, and Zhang Xiaoquan was a famous scholar even though he was a recruit in the press. Zhang Xiaoquan’s grandfather, Zhang Baixi, was the pioneer of modern university education in China. He founded Jingshi University, and his students were all over the world. Zhang Xiaoquan, sheltered by Tuozu’s shadow, is full of spring breeze in Shanghai, and the intersection of Zhao Puchu and Zhang Xiaoquan’s work was after the liberation of Shanghai. At the beginning of the founding of New China, Zhao Puchu was the chairman of the East China Production and Disaster Relief Committee, and Zhang Xiaoquan was the director of the office. Zhang Xiaoquan is young, energetic, quick-witted, open-minded and humorous. His professional qualities as a journalist have developed his strong communication skills and become an indispensable right-hand man for Zhao Puchu. Then Zhao Puchu was responsible for the establishment of the Shanghai Democratic Progressive Organization, and Zhang Xiaoquan was recruited as a member of the Democratic Progressive Party to continue to work together. Zhao Puchu’s gentle, meticulous and selfless nature deeply impressed Zhang Xiaoquan. Although they worked together for only three years, Zhao Puchu trusted Zhang Xiaoquan, and Zhang Xiaoquan also had a special respect for Zhao Puchu. This friendship lasted for half a century.

In the 1960s, there was a dispute about the authenticity of the author of Preface to Lanting in China literary world. At that time, someone in the domestic literary world wrote an article saying that Wang Xizhi did not write the Preface to Lanting, which caused an uproar in the north and south. Shen Yinmo, a calligrapher in Shanghai, was so angry that he wrote poems and articles to refute them. Shen Yinmo entrusted Zhang Xiaoquan to hand over the poems to Zhao Puchu. Zhao Puchu felt deeply after reading it, and thanked Shen Yinmo with a poem. "With a spoonful of Wang Yang, I can analyze the subtle theory of two kings. Wrist movement does not violate dialectics, and concentration is a health care prescription. Work deepens people’s knowledge and age, and flowers flourish in the east wind and the sun and the moon grow long. A roll of feelings is inspired by the public, and it is nothing but a sea of ink. " Zhao Puchu not only supported Shen Yinmo’s argument, but also highly praised Shen Yinmo’s achievements in calligraphy. Shen Yinmo was very moved. Although his eyes were highly nearsighted at this time, he still wrote a calligraphy work and entrusted Zhang Xiaoquan to Zhao Puchu. Zhao Puchu was very happy, and wrote "Bodhisattva Man": "Sir, I can handle things without hindrance, and I will try my best to carry the posture of keeping a good position. Zhang Cao writes Mao poems, and horizontal strokes. Li Zhu worked so hard that she did not hesitate to talk. At the same time, all the birds did not know. " Zhao Puchu asked Zhang Xiaoquan to mount Shen Yinmo’s calligraphy in Shanghai, which gave Zhang Xiaoquan a difficult problem. At this time, there were very few people engaged in mounting in Shanghai, and they either retired or changed careers. After tossing and turning, Zhang Xiaoquan finally found an old master to complete the task.

Zhao Puchu’s calligraphy works are Mo Bao that the world is scrambling to collect. Whenever Zhang Xiaoquan is entrusted, he is always responsive. In 1991, Zhang Xiaoquan wrote that Wang Danfeng’s husband Liu Heqing had settled in Hong Kong and opened a vegetarian restaurant near his apartment. Liu wanted to ask Zhao Puchu to write the words "Vegetarian in Kutokuhayashi and Shanghai". Generally speaking, Zhao Puchu doesn’t write an inscription for business easily, but because Zhang Xiaoquan entrusted him, he not only met his requirements, but also wrote in person and sent it by air. Soon after, Zhang Xiaoquan wrote to ask for two more words. One was to Chen Naiqiang, the former Hong Kong Secretary for Lands and Civil Service, who was an engineer, a consultant on Hong Kong affairs and the chairman of the former Hong Kong Senior Civil Servants Association. The other is Anthony Pun, former deputy editor of Sanlian Bookstore. In addition, I plan to write the word "Meihuazhuang" for myself, saying that "Meihuazhuang" is his former residence outside the north gate of Changsha, and I want to make a small plaque as a souvenir. Zhao Puchu met his requirements one by one.

The Letter is a prestigious newspaper in Hong Kong, and its directors are Lin Mushan and Luo Youmei. Zhang Xiaoquan has been writing for Xinbao for more than ten years. In order to reward them, Zhang Xiaoquan specially wrote a book and begged Zhao Puchu for a calligraphy. After receiving the book, Zhao Puchu immediately wrote two calligraphy pieces in calligraphy and sent them by letter.

Odd: Rhyme exists in the "bank"

Zhao Puchu is also a famous writer and poet. In 1960s and 1970s, due to the lack of information, Zhao Puchu’s works were spread by copying.

On the anniversary of Premier Zhou’s death in 1977, Zhang Xiaoquan was on his way home. When he passed by Shanghai No.2 Middle School, he saw that on the opposite wall, the Shanghai Painting Academy copied Zhao Puchu’s recent work "Golden Melody-A Sense of the Anniversary of Premier’s Death", and drew red boxes and horizontal lines with white newspapers. Each wall wrote a sentence, and the audience was crowded. Zhang Xiaoquan was very excited. When he got home, he immediately wrote to Zhao Puchu about this exciting scene.

In fact, every new work by Zhao Puchu is often shared by Zhang Xiaoquan and Chen Bangyan. Chen Bangyan, Zhao Puchu’s brother-in-law, has a deep research on ancient poetry. Zhang and Chen used to work in the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party, and then together they decentralized Fengxian coastal labor, which can be described as he is my brother. Zhao Puchu once joked in a letter: "In the future, poetry should be copied and sent to two companies, such as depositing money in the bank, so as not to lose your ears." In a letter, Zhao Puchu attached two papers to the letter: "I didn’t send the letter yesterday, but now I have another one in your bank." Zhang Xiaoquan also likes poetry, and every time he has a new work, he always sends it to Zhao Puchu to beg for correction. In 1976, Zhang Xiaoquan learned that Wen Wei Po published Zhao Puchu’s poem "Never Forget" in memory of Chairman Mao, and immediately wrote to Fan Chen, asking him to send a copy of Wen Wei Po and forward it to Zhao Puchu for filing. Fan Chen is the founder and editor-in-chief of Hong Kong’s Yilin Conglu. Zhang Xiaoquan met Fan Chen through Yang Dongchun’s introduction. Zhang Xiaoquan is congenial to Fan Chen, and he handled a large number of Shanghai manuscripts contained in Yilin.

Zhao Puchu’s deposit of his poems in the "bank" proved to be a wise move. Zhao Puchu is well educated and quick-witted, and he is ready to write. A large number of works created in his life are scattered everywhere. Without these backups, there would be no later magnificent Collection of Zhao Puchu Rhymes, which was published by Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House and compiled by Chen Bangyan.

In his later years, Zhang Xiaoquan wrote to Zhao Puchu about the loss of traditional Chinese studies in mainland China, which was worrying. He said that when he was a child, he studied in a private school, and the enlightenment was Tang poetry and Song poetry, so he memorized many poems. And my own pair of children have no interest in poetry. At the end of the letter, Zhang Xiaoquan said with emotion, it seems that my children and grandchildren have no chance of literature. After reading the letter, Zhao Puchu felt the same way. To this end, he specially organized a joint proposal to establish a classical poetry school for children at the CPPCC meeting.

Jane: There is always love in one branch and one leaf.

From 1950s to 1970s, materials were scarce. Every holiday, Zhang Xiaoquan will receive hawthorn cakes, preserved eggs, bamboo shoots and dried vegetables from Nanxiaoshuan Hutong from time to time. Besides food, there are calendars or calendars. At that time, these beautifully printed calendars and calendars were rare.

Come and go. One day, Zhang Xiaoquan saw "Evergreen" soda cookies on sale in the street. He thought that Zhao Puchu was a vegetarian all the year round and was prone to hunger. He wanted to buy some and take them to Beijing. As a result, he stood in line for an hour, but when he got to him, it was sold out. He had to buy more than a catty of sweet biscuits in the sales department of Yimin No.3 Factory, seal them in plastic bags and send them to someone. On New Year’s Day in 1977, Shanghai issued a meat coupon to the citizens, and each person received a monthly 2 yuan. On New Year’s Day of National Day, 1 yuan was added. Zhang Xiaoquan wrote to Zhao Puchu to report this situation and was concerned about Beijing’s policy. And charged Zhao Puchu vegetarian meat is not necessary, but milk is absolutely indispensable.

In 1976, the Tangshan earthquake, with strong earthquake waves, hit Beijing, and the traffic on the Beijing-Shanghai line was cut off. There are many legends in Shanghai. Zhang Xiaoquan was very anxious after learning the news. He was busy making a long-distance call to Zhao Puchu’s home in Nanxiaoshuan Hutong to inquire about the situation. However, the Shanghai post office was crowded and could not get forward, so he had to send an airmail letter for inquiry. That night, the postman sent a telegram. Before opening it, Zhang Xiaoquan was scared to death. When he saw the word "peace", his long-hanging heart was put down. It turned out that Zhao Puchu was afraid that he was in a hurry and the telegram was safe.

After Zhang Xiaoquan went to Hongkong, Zhao Puchu did not forget to ask someone to take a calendar every New Year’s Day. Upon learning that Zhang Xiaoquan was physically weak due to hard work in writing, Zhao Puchu specially called Hong Kong Hongxun Master to send four boxes of Niuhuang Qingxin Pills, which made Zhang Xiaoquan grateful. On the Dragon Boat Festival in 1991, Zhao Puchu specially sent Zhang Xiaoquan two boxes of dumplings. Zhang Xiaoquan felt that he should not enjoy this gift exclusively. He distributed zongzi to the teachers and students of Huaren Primary School, a famous school in Hong Kong, so that Huaren teachers and students could feel the deep affection of this venerable person from the mainland of China. Zhang Xiaoquan also gave his beloved little grandson a nickname "Xiaozongzi".

Sometimes I can’t hear from Zhao Puchu for a long time when I’m far away from Hong Kong, and Zhang Xiaoquan always misses it. Every time I see photos of Zhao Puchu running around from newspapers, my spirit is good, and Zhang Xiaoquan is a little relieved. Zhao Puchu was deaf and deaf in his later years, so Zhang Xiaoquan specially bought the best hearing AIDS from abroad. Zhao Puchu likes to use ballpoint pens in his work, especially the imported ballpoint pens sent by Zhang Xiaoquan. His writing is fluent and of good quality. In 1995, Zhang Xiaoquan, as the head of the delegation, led a "Hong Kong cultural delegation" to Hebei for an interview. When passing through Beijing, he visited Nanxiaoshuan Hutong, and brought him 100 pens and hair cream that Zhao Puchu liked at a time. Although it was a hasty meeting, Zhang Xiaoquan was overjoyed to see that Zhao Puchu was as healthy as ever. Zhao Puchu returned Zhang Xiaoquan’s watch and American ginseng. Naturally, whenever the refill on hand runs out, Zhao Puchu will write a note to his secretary, "Bring some pens from zhangwenda".

Ya: Shuxiang accompanied the world of mortals all the way.

Zhang Xiaoquan loves books, especially books. At one time, Zhang Xiaoquan entrusted a friend to buy a copy of the Great Battle of the Second World War, which was a treasure. Chen Bangyan borrowed a book from him and accidentally stained it with wine. Zhang Xiaoquan was deeply saddened and repeatedly blamed it, which made Chen Bangyan very embarrassed. It happened that Chen Bangzhi bought a copy for Chen Bangyan at this time. Chen Bangyan gave Zhang Xiaoquan the old and new books at the same time in order to make up for it. Zhang Xiaoquan turned his anger into a smile. Zhang Xiaoquan once said that the first thing he did after he set foot in Hong Kong was to plunge into the bookstore. Once he learned that there was a translation of a book called "The Decline of the West", he quickly wrote to Nanxiaoshuan Hutong, asking Chen Bangzhi to find it for him, and he went to several bookstores to buy it.

In the early 1990s, Bai Yang’s A Mirror of Vernacular Information was very popular in Hong Kong and Taiwan. When Zhao Puchu wanted to buy a set, he entrusted Zhang Xiaoquan to do it for him. The book is magnificent, and has been published in 61 issues one after another. Zhang Xiaoquan commissioned all of them to be taken to Beijing in batches. Later, every time there was a new issue, it was always sent in the first place.

Every time he comes to Hong Kong, Zhao Puchu always meets Zhang Xiaoquan, either by letter or in person. Zhao Puchu joked that Zhang Xiaoquan had "a house like a boat, a desk like a mountain". In 1996, Taiwan Province published Zhang Xiaoquan’s "Vertical Pen". After the book was completed, Zhang Xiaoquan sent it to Zhao Puchu, and Zhao Puchu read it carefully, and corrected or marked the typos, punctuation and doubts in the book one by one with red pen. Zhang Xiaoquan is also a volunteer information officer in Zhao Puchu. As long as the news and comments published by major newspapers in Hong Kong, both at home and abroad, feel valuable, Zhang Xiaoquan will carefully cut them out and send them to Zhao Puchu. In July 1994, Zhao Puchu wrote a poem entitled "A Brief Report from Hongkong", in which "rumors started behind Duke Zhou, hoping to climb to heaven. A rumor can hurt the sun and the moon, and the flames shine on the rivers and mountains. " This Hong Kong briefing was sent from Zhang Xiaoquan.

Fun: the cat will clean the bowl.

Zhang Xiaoquan has a loose personality, unrestrained and unrestrained. In the early 1950s, Zhao Puchu went to Beijing to preside over the work of the Chinese Buddhist Association, and invited him to go north with him because he appreciated Zhang Xiaoquan’s talent. At that time, it coincided with the cancellation of the East China Bureau, and there was no doubt that going to Beijing with Zhao Puchu had a better future, but Zhang Xiaoquan declined. What he wanted more was a free life in Shanghai.

In 1979, Mr. and Mrs. Zhao Puchu went to Shanghai for a holiday, especially to catch up with Zhang Xiaoquan. Zhao Puchu jokingly said as soon as he entered the door, Xiao Quan, I will have lunch at your house today. But don’t entertain guests with the bowl that the cat added. A group of people here couldn’t help laughing. It turns out that there is a story in it.

During the "Cultural Revolution", Zhang Xiaoquan was first sent to Fengxian seaside countryside with Chen Bangyan, and then returned to Shanghai to become a worker, knocking cinder bricks every day. Zhang Xiaoquan didn’t feel bitter, but he felt that he was far more at leisure in the factory than in the office. Chatting with Chen Bangyan and his wife after work every day, and being with kittens at home is quite enjoyable. One day, Zhang Xiaoquan’s nanny returned home, and he wanted to cook for himself, which was miserable for him, so he ran to Chen Bangyan to learn from him. Although Zhang Xiaoquan is not good at cooking, he thinks of a wonderful way to wash dishes, that is, ask his kitten to lick the greasy bowl clean, and then take it to the tap for a flush, as bright as new. Do the same thing every day, and it really saves trouble. Zhang Xiaoquan wrote to Zhao Puchu about it, and this is the origin of the cat licking the bowl.

After dinner, Zhao Puchu invited Zhang Xiaoquan to travel with him to Yangzhou, which is the place where Zhang Xiaoquan studied. Zhang Xiaoquan gladly went there. Considering Zhang Xiaoquan’s financial difficulties, Zhao Puchu paid the round-trip ticket and other expenses for him.

At the end of May of the following year, Zhang Xiaoquan crossed Shenzhen Luohu Port and arrived in Hong Kong. After living in Hong Kong, Zhang Xiaoquan, as a freelance writer, kept soliciting manuscripts. Every time Zhang Xiaoquan got something, he always wrote or telegraphed Zhao Puchu. Therefore, in 1990, Zhao Puchu came to Hong Kong to praise him. "It took 36 years for Xi Jun to be more graceful."

In front of Zhang Xiaoquan, Zhao Puchu also revealed his frankness. One day, 87-year-old Zhao Puchu sent a poem by Zhang Xiaoquan, entitled "Walking in front of the court suddenly fell without injury", "I was shocked by the Yushan Mountain, and I got up to see the sky." Don’t lie in the mountains, don’t lie in the fields, and the old man stays at home with ninety sticks. "The poems are humorous and vivid.
