In the past ten years, China’s postal industry has made historic achievements, entered a new stage with an annual express business volume of over 100 billion pieces and an annual express income of over one trillion yuan, realized direct postal service in established villages, and built the most accessible, inclusive, largest and most beneficiary postal express network in the world.
In addition, the State Post Bureau also stated that China is actively building laws, standards and policy systems that are compatible with the green concept, and accelerating the reduction, standardization and recycling of express packaging. By the end of this year, the proportion of packaging materials that meet the standards will reach 90%, the proportion of standardized packaging operations will reach 90%, the number of recyclable express boxes will reach 10 million, and 700 million corrugated boxes will be recycled.
Rural market has become a new growth pole of express delivery industry.
According to the data of the State Post Bureau, as of September this year, the coverage rate of express delivery service in established villages nationwide exceeded 80%. From the northwest Gobi to the southwest border, from wumeng mountain to the hinterland of Qinba, the express delivery network has been continuously completed and woven, which makes the circulation of parcels smoother, the rural market has become a new growth pole of the express delivery industry, and the rural consumption potential has been continuously released.
Near noon, the 205 bus carrying express parcels arrived at Gangdun Village, Cixi, Zhejiang Province. Just a few days ago, the first rural logistics express outlet in Cixi, Gangdun Zhongyou Station, was opened. In the past, the parcels of express delivery companies were only willing to be delivered to the fixed outlets at the foot of the mountain. Through the cooperation of post delivery and express delivery, the parcels of express delivery companies such as Zhongtong, Shentong and Yuantong are now taken to Gangdun Village by bus and placed at the post station.
Relying on the express network, consumer goods enter the mountains, constantly improving the quality of life of rural residents, and making agricultural products go out with better luck, and the villagers’ money bags are even more bulging.
In the past two days, the early-maturing apples in Qingyang City, Gansu Province have matured and ushered in a bumper harvest season. Kui, the king of fruit farmers in Loufangzi Village, Quzi Town, Huan County, is busy at the age of 69 while packing boxes and processing orders.
Pick up the goods at home, send them at any time, and deliver them on time, so that the sales of Wang Zhekui’s apples have expanded rapidly. Seventy percent of the annual output of more than 40,000 kilograms of apples is sold to all parts of the country through express delivery, which also drives 50 members around to get rich together.
According to the State Post Bureau, in the first three quarters, agricultural goods and e-commerce festivals were held in various places, which effectively promoted the growth of postal express delivery business through the linkage mode of "express delivery enterprise+government+merchants". In September, the online retail sales of physical goods supported by the postal express delivery industry is expected to exceed 8 trillion yuan.
